ROKKAKU

– Design that breathes new life into tradition –
• The hexagonal shape makes it easy to grip, and while it is
compact the thick material creates a sense of grip.
• Made from domestic cypress. The light and soft wood feels
comfortable in the hand.
• The brass nail accents are proof that the brush is hand-planted.
The planted wood and the wood that wil become the ild
are glued together and fastened with brass nails, a process
unique to hand-planted brushes.
• We also paid special atention to the vivid colors ,as we want
you to enjoy your shoe polishing time.

-Traditional techniques and attention to usability-
• We select animal hair and parts suitable for each purpose,
pre-align the hair, and use carefully selected hair.
• Holes are drilled into the wood base with at tsubokiri(a drill
bit), and natural hair is carefully planted by hand one by one
using a pull wire. The holes drilled with the tsubokiri(a drill
bit) wrap around the roots of the natural hair folded in half.
• The hair Is planted continuously using a stainless steel wire
called a pull wire, so it is very durable compared to
machine-planted brushes.
• Brushes with high density increase the effectiveness of use,
but reduce the amount of work required by the user.
